The dress in the pictures above is one that my dad bought me from Ingrid and Isabel! I LOVE it so much!! It is sososo comfy and fits perfectly. It’s also great because you can dress it up with heels, or pair it with flats like I did for every day wear. I wore this outfit on Saturday when Ben and I took his Nana to the Blossom trail in Fresno! It was SUCH a gorgeous day and the blossoms were beautiful! We had a wonderful time and it was so fun to watch Ben with Nana - he is just the sweetest! *swoon*
18 weeks! Yahoo! Not much new to report since last week. My acne seems to be clearing up a bit, thank the Lord! On Thursday night I started having some cramping and it continued into Friday. I was pretty sure that it was just round ligament pain, which I’ve read all about, but I wanted to double check so I called my doctor. She told me to up my fluid intake and to take it easy and that if I had more than five cramps in an hour for several hours to go to Labor and Delivery for further evaluation. So I parked myself on the couch, guzzled tons of water, and rested up. All is well and the cramping went away. Cramping is super common, due to all of the ligaments and everything stretching and growing. But it’s always a good idea to check in with your doctor. As a first time mom, I am paranoid about EVERYTHING, so I felt way better having asked about it. I'm sure it won't be the last question I call my doctor with during the next few months!! :)
How far along: 18 weeks 3 days
Total weight gain/loss: Up about 9 lbs
Maternity clothes? Yes! Love love love maternity style! So much fun dressing the bump. I’ve gotten sent such cute maternity clothing from several different companies, which is SO sweet of them! I am excited to try out all of the new clothes and write about them on my blog! *Stay tuned!*
Stretch marks? No!!
Sleep: Sleeping ok. Kind of restless, and, of course, getting up multiple times in the night to use the restroom!
Best moment this week: Finding out that Ben is getting moved to the day shift - woohoo!!
Have you told family and friends: Yes!
Movement: Yes! Flutters and movements that feel like someone is flicking the inside of my belly with their fingernails!
Food cravings: Pineapple!!, french fries (yup, the french fry craving is back!), mexican food
Anything making you queasy or sick: No, not really. I’ve been having a bit of queasiness first thing in the morning, but nothing major and I haven’t been throwing up. It goes away as soon as I eat.
Have you started to show yet: Yes!
Gender prediction: Really not sure! But again, if I HAD to guess, I’d still say that I’m feeling like it MAY be a girl. Who knows though! We did the wedding ring test and it predicted boy, and according to a few other wives tales it’s a boy too! We shall see in less than two weeks!
Labor Signs: No.
Belly Button in or out? In
Wedding rings on or off? On!
Happy or Moody most of the time: Happy!! But those pregnancy hormones sure are going strong! I find myself getting REALLY upset by things that, yes, may be annoying, but that probably are not worthy of the outrage that I feel over them. haha I have NO tolerance or patience for drama WHATSOEVER... Just can't handle it! I also have moments of total “mama bear” mode already…like SUUUUPER protective over the baby and SUUUUPERRR opposed to people already offering too many opinions or telling us what we should do with the baby or doing or saying anything that messes with the baby or with us as parents, etc… Everyone, beware! haha
Symptoms: Bloody nose, cramps, some acne, shortness of breath … all fun stuff! But I kid you not, I am loving every minute of it! :)
Thanks for reading! Be sure to check back next Monday!
