HOW did this happen????
My baby boy is HALF OF A YEAR OLD... I honestly can't believe it. The time has flown by and I know it's dramatic and SUCH a mom thing, but I can't help thinking "only 17 1/2 years left!!" and wanting to burst into tears! haha Oh my goodness.
This little boy has brought so much joy and purpose into my life! He has also taught me SO much! I am such a different person today than I was before he was born. Being a parent teaches you selflessness - which was something that I think I definitely needed a lesson in.
James has his first tooth, can stand on his own (holding onto something), LOVES books, loves every solid food we've given him, LOVES Gunner (and Gunner LOVES him...it's the cutest thing), and he is the SMILIEST, sweetest, smartest, funniest little guy, and we love him so so so much!
So far, James has eaten avocado, banana, yams, carrots, and a little bit of (pureed) steak. Next, we're going to try green beans. James really loves food and it's so fun to watch him try new things. He gets so excited about food, haha.
He goes in on Friday for his 6 month check at the pediatrician, so we will find out his height and weight and everything then. He'll also get his next round of shots. At previous appointments, James has done really well with shots. He cries for a short time as they are happening, but then bounces right back and is his smiley self!
James really enjoys reading and playing with books. We read A LOT...every morning we read the news together, then we read the daily passage from 'The Daily Stoic', then an excerpt from 'Tools of Titans', and then we read a bunch of James' books every afternoon. Probably a couple of hours worth each day, and James loves it. Which I am so happy about because reading is one of my favorite things!
Anyways, I could go on and on about this little boy and how amazing he is and how much I am smitten with him and how much his daddy and I adore him, but I'll stop. :)
Have a wonderful week, friends!
