Hi friends!

I wanted to share this beautiful little white dress from Shop Hello Fashion with you! It's NOT a maternity dress, but look how great it works with a bump!! I'm wearing my regular size Small, so I'd say it runs big. But it definitely is supposed to have that drape-y oversized look. I'm excited to be able to wear this next Spring and Summer when I'm NOT pregnant, as well!

I love finding cute non-maternity pieces that work while pregnant, and this dress is just perfection. It's lined, so not see through, and it's very very comfortable and light-weight.

Best part is, that Shop Hello Fashion gave me a code for you all to use so that you can get 15% off any purchase from their site!! Just use the code FAMILY15 at checkout! With my code, this dress is LESS THAN $50 ... isn't that crazy?? Such a good deal for such a beautiful dress, I can hardly believe it! Click here for the dress

This dress also comes in a beautiful pink color ... I might have to grab it! I love it so much.

These fun sunglasses are also from Shop Hello Fashion (click here for the sunglasses). With my code FAMILY15 they are UNDER $14! I love how different and cool they are!

Shop Hello Fashion is one of my favorite shops - they have such cute stuff. I have this 'Mom Life Is the Best Life' sweatshirt (click here for the sweatshirt) and it is seriously my favorite - so cozy! I also especially love this, this, and this. Also really want this and this for me and James!

Don't forget to use the code FAMILY15 at checkout for 15% off your purchase!

I hope you all have a great weekend!

Mommy Monday: 21 Weeks Pregnant With Number Two!

IMG_7815.jpg

My kimono is from Pinkblush - they have so many cute ones!! Click here to see all the kimonos

Happy Monday! 21 weeks already...wow!

Today, my dad asked me what I was doing at this time during my last pregnancy, and it got me thinking. My pregnancies have been so different - thank God.

During my last pregnancy, at 21 weeks I had been on bedrest for one week and we were all holding our breaths, holding out for viability at 24 weeks. You can read my 21 week blog post from my first pregnancy here.

It's pretty emotional and surreal thinking back on all that we went through last time around. I am so incredibly thankful for how well this pregnancy is going. I seriously can't stop thanking God for letting me experience a "normal" pregnancy! I pray that it continues going as smoothly as it has thus far!

On Saturday night, Ben and I had a date night! It was a blast. We went to this super fancy restaurant and it was just a really special, fun night. Our dinner reservation was for 8:45pm and it was a serious STRUGGLE to stay awake, haha. But we made it and had such a wonderful time. I love that man so much!

My dress is from Ingrid & Isabel, but it's no longer in stock. Click here for a similar one, and click here for a similar sleeveless version. I also LOVE this one.

Mommy Monday: 33 Weeks!

Not much new to report over here! This past week has been great - no major changes. I have been experiencing some sciatica and new aches and pains, and my feet are swollen and get red if I stand for too long! haha (SO FUN!!) But other than that, nothing new to report! Other than I feel HUGE and a bit like this cat:

I got together with two of my best girlfriends and it was SO fun catching up with them! I also got to see my grandparents for dinner one night which was so nice!!

This week was the first week that I didn't have a doctor's appointment since I got put on bed rest at 20 weeks! It was so nice not having to go into the doctor and to just feel normal! haha Little boy has been kicking up a storm and wiggling all over the place. It's SO fun to feel him move and to WATCH him move - it's crazy to see little body parts move under my skin. I love feeling his kicks and movements so much! He is getting so big and strong!!

So fun to see how big baby boy's hand is right now!!

And now we're basically in the clear - as in, if he is born now, he'll be just fine! But obviously, the longer he stays in the better, so hang in there little guy! :) Hopefully my body will behave and not go into preterm labor! Only three more weeks until this baby is full term! Yippee!!

Mommy Monday: 31 Weeks!

Dress: Target // Shoes: Target // Sweater: Nordstrom

**This post was written yesterday but I'm just getting around to posting it today! :)** Happy Monday! It’s been a great week! On Wednesday, Ben and I met with our new perinatologist that we were referred to by our doctor down in CA. My cervix was still stable and the baby looked perfect, as usual! The new doctor was super nice and so encouraging! He said that now I am practically a normal pregnant lady! I don’t even have to go back to see him again! Woohoo! No more checking my cervix, because he said that at this point, my cervix would be shortening anyways in preparation for birth, so there isn’t a need to monitor it! Now I just need to look out for signs of preterm labor just like any other pregnant lady would! I still need to take it easy and keep off my feet as much as possible. But I don’t have to be as strict as before! He said just not to go wild. haha I’ve still been having a lot of Braxton Hicks contractions, but again, normal. I am just supposed to go into Labor and Delivery to be monitored if I have more than 4-6 in an hour for a few hours in a row. Same as any other preggo at my stage in pregnancy! :)

It’s been so nice seeing friends and family now that we are back in WA! I love seeing everyone and getting to catch up with loved ones! I still can’t believe that we are back in Washington. Everything happened so suddenly and it’s just like a whirlwind!

Here's a fun transformation picture! I can't believe how much little boy has grown!

How far along: 31 weeks 6 days

Pregnancy Style: Non-Maternity Pieces

I love finding cute pieces that are not maternity, but that work well with a baby bump! They are great because they can be worn after pregnancy, but are still comfortable and stylish to wear while expecting. So versatile! Maternity clothing doesn’t need to be frumpy or shapeless. It is definitely possible to look put-together and chic while preggers, and wearing cute and flattering clothes will help you to feel beautiful and confident!

I’ve also been LOVING cute, statement shoes, especially booties and flats. They really amp up the style and bring your outfit to a whole new level. Cute shoes do not have to be uncomfortable! Find some fun flats or some booties with a low heel and good support. Shoes can make an outfit, and pregnancy is no exception!

Some key things to look for in non-maternity pieces in order to make them work for pregnancy include:

Stretchy fabric, flowy tops, long skirts, and empire waistlines. Also, if you plan on wearing pre-pregnancy jeans during your pregnancy, I highly suggest getting a Bellaband! They are amazing!

Here are a couple of looks I’ve worn recently at six months pregnant:

Top: LC Lauren Conrad (Similar Here) // Jeans: 7 For All Mankind // Shoes: Halogen // Bellaband: Ingrid & Isabel

Cardigan: Target // Dress: Target // Shoes: Nordstrom // Sunglasses: Kate Spade

Crop Top: Mura // Skirt: My own // Bag: Kate Spade

Dress: Victoria's Secret // Kimono: My own

Dress: Volcom // Hat: Ale By Alessandra

Mommy Monday: Milestone!! 24 Weeks!

We hit the first milestone: 24 weeks! Woohoo! On Monday and Tuesday I received steroid injections in my booty :p to help baby boy’s lungs develop faster. Such a relief to have that done! He is officially viable, so if he were to come early now, he could survive on his own! Yay! So reassuring to know that! Now we just need to keep him in LONGER! Our next milestone is 28 weeks … let’s do this!

All of his measurements are perfect and he weighs 1 lb 8 oz! My measurements are all perfect and on track as well! And little guy’s heartbeat is perfect too. :) So good to know he’s doing so well! He has been moving like CRAZY, kicking and punching and wiggling around. It’s so fun! AND, my doctor said that my cervix is stable! Woohoo!

My parents were in town for a few days this week and it was SO nice to see them and to have the help around the house! They stocked our fridge, cleaned, took Gunner to his vet appointment, and prepared meals for next week for us. We are so thankful for them!! My dad’s cousin, Kris, and her husband, Ross, brought us some chicken divan and some snacks! It was so yummy and so nice of them! Food is SO helpful to us right now!!

On Friday, on the way to my OBGYN appointment, I got super super lightheaded, dizzy, nauseated, and started seeing spots and sweating. It lasted about 10 minutes or so and it was so scary. Luckily, my parents were driving me since Ben was at work. I asked the doctor about it when I saw her and she didn’t seem concerned at all. I guess during pregnancy, your blood pressure drops, and it can lead to lightheadedness, etc… My BP was 107/71 which is pretty low for me. But again, the doctor wasn’t concerned. Seems like this is just a normal part of pregnancy! :p So many fun things! Despite everything, I still LOVE being pregnant! It’s just the most amazing thing and I feel SO blessed to be able to experience it!!

Mommy Monday: 19 Weeks! Guess the gender!

Dress: PinkBlush Maternity

Almost half-way! This past week was so nice! My energy levels are so good, and I’ve been doing great workouts every day. Ben and I went for some nice hikes near where we live and it felt SO amazing to get outside and be active and explore together!

I don't have much to report! No major changes or crazy symptoms. I'm feeling really great! :) We find out the gender of our little one at the end of this week - want to have a guess at what we’re having?? Post your guess in the comments below!! :)

How far along: 19 weeks 3 days

Total weight gain/loss: Up about 10 lbs

Maternity clothes? Yes! I LOVE maternity dresses. They are so cute now. I feel like maternity clothes used to be so unflattering and baggy and billowy. I am loving the fitted dresses that show off the bump! PinkBlush Maternity sent me a dress this week, and I am going to be posting a blog post featuring it and telling all of the details about it sometime next weekend, so stay tuned for that! PinkBlush Maternity has CUTE maternity clothes!!

Stretch marks? No!!

Sleep: Sleeping well! Still getting up a lot, but getting plenty of rest! :)

Best moment this week: Feeling SO many movements! Ben and I went and saw a movie the other day, and during a really loud part in the movie, the baby started kicking like crazy! It was so cute! OH! And, Ben and I went out to lunch the other day, and our server asked me when I was due!! That is the FIRST time a stranger has asked me or mentioned me being pregnant!! I was so excited that I wanted to hug him! haha

Have you told family and friends: Yes!

Movement: Yes! A lot of little thumps, jabs, and wave-like movements!

Food cravings: Pineapple, turkey and cheese sandwiches with avocado, french fries

Mommy Monday: 17 Weeks

Shoes: Superga // Dress: Target // Purse: Kate Spade // Sunglasses: Kate Spade

17 weeks!! Wow!! This pregnancy is flying by...I can't believe that I will be half way in just three weeks! Also, we get to find out the gender in less than three weeks...how exciting!! Ben and I are enjoying the last little bit of time while our baby is still a little "it" to us. Soon, he or she will be our son or daughter, we'll know which name we are giving it, and I just feel like it will begin to feel more real as we are able to attribute more of an identity to our baby! We are so excited to know the gender, but I'll miss my little it!

My belly continues to grow so fast! I seriously feel like I am showing so so fast, and I read that really thin people tend to show faster because, well, where else is the baby supposed to go but out? haha I also have definitely felt movement already, which is pretty early on for someone having their first baby. It feels like little flutters and like someone flicking the inside of my belly with their fingernails. It's SO cool and I just can't wait until Ben can feel the baby moving too! I think I can feel the movement so early because of how thin I am as well! So fun!

I've been working out daily, and I've even worked back up to doing kettle bell workouts and other more intense workouts that I used to do before pregnancy. Of course I have been making proper modifications and listening to my body. But it feels so good to be able to keep my body strong and healthy throughout this pregnancy! I know it will help my labor and delivery to go much more smoothly, AND studies have shown that mothers who work out during pregnancy tend to have smarter and more developmentally advanced babies! That right there is ALL the motivation I need to keep up with my fitness routine during pregnancy!! My workouts tend to range from 10-30 minutes, depending on how I am feeling. In addition to working out, Gunner and I go on two 30 minute walks every day, morning and night! It's a great way to get myself moving and get some fresh air!

How far along: 17 weeks 3 days

Total weight gain/loss: Up about 8 lbs

Maternity clothes? Yes! So many cute maternity dresses! My parents have bought all of my maternity clothes for me so far, which is so sweet of them! This weekend, my mom took me to Target and got me a BUNCH of cute maternity dresses (including the one in the pictures above) and a cool maternity top (the one I'm wearing in the photo of me and Ben above)! My dad also bought me a gorgeous pink Ingrid & Isabel dress that I have been eyeing! I am SO excited.

Stretch marks? Nope! *Fingers Crossed* I definitely feel like my stomach is SO tight and like everything is stretching, so I am SO SCARED about stretch marks. I've been slathering myself in oils and lotions multiple times each day and drinking lots of water and eating healthy foods like oranges. I read that the vitamin C in oranges is great for skin's elasticity!

Sleep: I have been sleeping pretty well still. I'm having a bit of trouble getting comfortable at night, and I'm still getting up multiple times in the night to use the restroom. Poor Ben!

Best moment this week: Getting new maternity clothes!

Have you told family and friends: Yes!

Movement: Yes! More flutters and some movements that feel like someone is flicking the inside of my belly with their fingernails!

Food cravings: Pineapple!

Anything making you queasy or sick: No!

Have you started to show yet: Oh yes! Love it!!

Gender prediction: I've been sort of feeling like it's a girl the past week or so...I just have felt super girly and have been drawn to pink and pretty things! Who knows! But, if I had to say that I was feeling one way or another right this moment, I guess I'd say girl!

Labor Signs: No.

Belly Button in or out? In

Wedding rings on or off? On!

Happy or Moody most of the time: HappyHappyHappy! SO HAPPY! :)

Symptoms: Acne. And when I say acne, I mean face-ne, chest-ne, neck-ne, back-ne, shoulders-ne, belly-ne ... -_- You get the idea. Acne EVERYWHERE. NOT. CUTE.

Thanks for reading! Check back in next Monday for my 18 Weeks update! :)

Mommy Monday: 15 Weeks

Jeans: 7 For All Mankind / Sweater: Victoria's Secret (no longer available) / Purse: Kate Spade / Sunglasses: Kate Spade / Necklace: Maurices

Welcome to my first Mommy Monday blog post! I’m going to try to do these every Monday. Technically, my weeks turn over on Fridays, so, for example, today I am not exactly 15 weeks along. I am actually 15 weeks 3 days along, because I hit 15 weeks last Friday.

So! I am officially well into the 2nd trimester, woohoo! The first trimester was pretty rough for me. I had really REALLY bad fatigue…I seriously felt like I was drugged. It was so hard to get out of bed every day and I just wanted to sleep all the time. I feel like I was NOT expecting such bad fatigue. Everyone warns you about the morning sickness, but you don’t really hear about how dang EXHAUSTED you will be!

Speaking of morning sickness, I also had pretty bad morning sickness (which does not only happen in the mornings, by the way!) and I felt nauseated ALL day and night. I threw up most mornings, which was not fun. I also had really REALLY intense cravings. They usually hit me when I was in bed, about ready to go to sleep. Most of these cravings, I never indulged, but I craved everything from cheese burgers to Cap'n Crunch to crab macaroni and cheese… Mostly carbs because that just sounded so good with my nausea and everything. Vegetables and water, on the other hand, made me gag and feel sick just to think about. I pretty much relied on ginger ale, La Croix sparkling water, grapefruit juice, and lemon water for my hydration.

I basically have to be constantly eating and snacking. Especially during the first trimester, if my stomach was allowed to get empty, I would throw up or feel REALLY really sick and weak. Now, I am just hungry all of the time, but I don’t get sick, which is nice. I’ve been pretty good about eating as healthily as possible. As I said, during the first trimester, I basically just ate whatever I could keep down, and a lot of times that was carbs and salty, savory foods. But overall, I’ve kept my food choices pretty healthy! Especially now as I am able to stomach vegetables!

Just the past week or so, my belly has really popped, which is SO fun because I am so so so excited to have a big baby bump! I’m already having a fun time dressing the bump. I can’t button my jeans comfortably any more so chances are, if you see me out, my pants are unbuttoned. haha Thank goodness for Bellabands

I am so so so excited that my energy is BACK and I've been able to slowly start easing back into my workout routine! I just didn't have the energy to work out very much during the first trimester, which was hard.

FullSizeRender 5.jpg

I’m going to fill out this little survey every week that I’ve seen some of my fellow expecting bloggers do, so here we go:

How far along: 15 weeks 3 days

Total weight gain/loss: Up about 5 lbs

Maternity clothes? None yet! Only a Bellaband, which is amazing!

Stretch marks? None yet!! Fingers crossed! I've been slathering on the Bio Oil and Palmer's Cocoa Butter every day!!

Sleep: Sleeping well, except for having to get up about 50 million times throughout the night to pee!

Best moment this week: My belly really popping!

Have you told family and friends: Yes!

Movement: A bit! I felt a little fluttering on the plane ride back from Paris, and I’ve felt the fluttering a few more times since then! Can’t wait for some real kicks!

Food cravings: FRENCH FRIES, toasted sub sandwiches with avocado, fruit.

Anything making you queasy or sick: Not really.

Have you started to show yet: Yes, YAY!

Gender prediction: During the first month or so I felt SO strongly that it was a boy. But over the past couple of weeks that feeling has gone away and now I have no clue!

Labor Signs: No.

Belly Button in or out? In, but I feel like it is definitely not as far in as it was!

Wedding rings on or off? On!

Happy or Moody most of the time: So happy! I have just constantly been in the best mood!

Symptoms: Acne! Ugh. Other than that, none really!

Thanks for reading! Check back next Monday for my next Mommy Monday post! :)
